Spectator Memberships

For the supporter, we hope you will find a category that suits your needs and that you will enjoy the many benefits that the club offers. You have the opportunity of watching good, competitive rugby, as at first team level we have been in the promotion battle to National One for the last few years. A lively atmosphere in our recently refurbished club house providing excellent bar and catering facilities, a discount on drinks prices, benefits from a number of our sponsors and involvement in a club that plays an important role in the local community, as demonstrated by the recent upgrade of our Invesco Turf training area which will be used by all sections of the club as well as local clubs, schools, companies and organisations. Apart from rugby, our annual Beer Festival is just one example of the many events hosted at the club which boasts a vibrant inclusive social scene.

We look forward to seeing you at the club once the new season is up and running!

Playing Memberships

Playing senior rugby at Henley Rugby Club is not just about the Hawks, our exciting 1st XV. It is more about offering and encouraging community rugby at all standards, for men, women and youngsters to enjoy the game with excellent RFU accredited facilities for training and playing.

For adults (18 and over) our community-based teams offer competitive rugby for both women and men of all abilities and backgrounds. If you aspire to National League Rugby, our development team the 2nd XV (Bulls) offer league and cup rugby and u20/23 development matches. The successful women’s section play level 2 rugby in the RFU Championship South and are building a development 2nd XV to play friendly matches locally. Social rugby is well catered for by the 3rd XV (Vikings), playing local league fixtures in the Thames Valley and the Vultures, our vets’ team who enjoy touring, league and cup rugby throughout the season.

Whatever your playing ability or aspirations you would be very welcome at Dry Leas. Call us on 01491 635350 or email nigedudding@gmail.com or come down to the training evenings on Tuesday or Thursday 6.30 p.m.

Full details of the teams can be found on the Teams page.

Mini & Juniors Memberships

The thriving Mini & Juniors section run age groups from Under Six through to Colts with everyone following the RFU ethos of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship (TREDS).

Henley Rugby Club boasts 4 training pitches, as well as a brand new 4G all-weather pitch, offering ample space for training on a Sunday morning. We have many RFU accredited coaches, and a full medical support on site to ensure everyone is looked after in a professional manner. We positively encourage parents to become involved with the section and enjoy the social aspects of a community-based rugby club. Some of the age groups run mid-week training, in addition to their Sunday matches or training. We also have members of the first team squad who are involved in coaching the older age groups in mid-week sessions. The spacious modern club house café restaurant is very popular with parents and children alike on Sundays and mid-week.

Henley Rugby Club coaches are heavily involved in the community, visiting local Primary Schools to coach tag rugby and to promote the RFU TREDS ethos, and to assist Gillotts School’s PE department with rugby development. In addition, we run strength and conditioning sessions for the older age groups as part of their rugby development.

With over 430 active junior players, the Mini and Junior section has seen an increase in youngsters enjoying playing rugby and benefiting from team activities. Each age group is well-organised with parent organised events throughout the year. We were proud to be awarded the Mini and Junior Club of the Year in August 2019 which was in recognition of the good work we have done from a community and child rugby development perspective. We also have a fully stocked shop offering a comprehensive kit from gum shield to full team strips.

Membership FAQ's

I cannot access the website

Please check any firewalls or anti virus software, especially if you are using a computer at work. Ensure you are running the latest version of your Internet browser. We recommend Chrome.

I have forgotten my ID or password

There are links from the login screen to allow you to receive your ID vial email and to reset your password. Just select the required button and follow the instructions. The Club do not hold a list of member's passwords. You can also contact Mary or membership@henleyhawks.co.uk who will be able to give you your membership ID. Please check your spam folder if you are not receiving these emails.

I want to use a new payment card

At the 'Stripe' payment screen you are given the option to 'remember' your payment card. This can be overridden by just inputting you new card details when paying for your membership or topping up your cash balance.

I don't want to join or renew online

No problem, if you are renewing you can phone Mary in the office and pay by card, or you can pop in and pay by cash, cheque, or card in office hours. New members are welcome to visit the office and either Mary or a member of the membership team will be delighted to 'sign you up' while you wait. The membership team will be in the office Wednesday pm 2-4 and Friday am 10- 1pm until the 2nd September.

I used to pay by Bank Transfer or Standing Order

The Club has moved from the previous payment methods and no longer monitor Direct debits, Standing Orders or Bank Transfers. We recommend members cancel any outstanding bank payments and use the on line payment system which accepts all popular payment cards through the secure payment system 'Stripe'.

Tell me about the new electronic ticketing system

The 'smart' membership card can be viewed as a key to unlock your membership account. Your membership account includes a number of 'purses', for example funds that can be spent in the Clubhouse which then attract a discount at the bars. This year we are introducing a new purse that will hold a member's ticket allocation, so for a season ticket holder 15 tickets or gate entries will be loaded on the account. On match days, members will be asked to present their membership card to the stewards who will 'swipe' the card on entry. Club members will have 2 tickets added to their account and these can be redeemed in the same way. Note that Gold members who have a complimentary 2nd club card will be allocated 17 tickets and either card can be used at the gate. Members will be able to ask for a balance enquiry at any bar till to showing any outstanding funds or tickets for the account. Match day paper tickets are retained as last season, however these will now have a barcode on them and will be scanned on gate entry.

How do I top up my funds on my account

You are also able to top up your card in the Clubhouse. Please note that we recommend topping up outside busy times and that bar top ups have a minimum amount of £10.00 and cannot take cash.

I have query about my account

Please contact membership@henleyhawks.co.uk or use the help button from the membership portal and leave a message. For general enquiries or if you just want to talk to a member of the membership team, we will be in the office on Wednesday afternoons 2 – 4 and Friday mornings 10- 1pm and at all the pre season and league home games. If you have a query about your account balance or tickets, you can obtain a funds balance from the top up screen on line, or a balance enquiry to include any ticket allocation from a Clubhouse bar till.

How do we apply for international tickets

Ticket allocations can only be considered if the membership is current 2 months before the nominated match. For example members need to have renewed or joined by 1st August to be able to choose the November internationals. Application forms are available on line and in the office. Gold members, who are guaranteed two international tickets, will be asked to confirm on their International Ticket Application Form they are taking up their Gold Member option.
