Henley Rugby Club & Eggchasers' inaugural 7s rugby tournament, held at Dry Leas last Saturday proved to be a huge success. The event featured competitions for U16 boys and girls along with men’s and women’s teams, all of which took place on the club’s main pitch. The games provided a spectacular display for rugby fans, showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of the participants.

The highlight of the event was Henley’s men triumphing in the elite men's competition, adding a local victory to the day's celebrations, the team showcased their fantastic rugby skills which had many spectators looking forward to the first home game of the season on the 7th of September.

The tournament has set a high standard for future events and has already generated excitement for next year’s edition.

Arun from Eggchasers said “It was fantastic to get off the ground with our first-ever Hawks Sevens, the turnout was excellent with the standard of rugby to match. A fantastic final between Henley and Lions U23 was a superb way for the day to finish ahead of us growing the event in 2025.“
