It is with great pleasure that we welcome Chris Cracknell to the Henley Hawks coaching team.
Chris brings with him a wealth of experience, both as a professional player and as an accomplished coach. With more than 20-years in the game, his knowledge and passion for rugby are evident in every stage of his career.
As a player, Chris represented top clubs including Cornish Pirates, Exeter Chiefs, Bath and Worcester Warriors. He also proudly wore the England shirt on the world stage, competing in both the Rugby Sevens World Cups and Commonwealth Games.
In the latter part of his career, Chris transitioned into coaching, taking on the role of Assistant Coach for Fiji alongside Ben Ryan - an era that delivered remarkable success and world titles.
More recently, he further showcased his leadership as the Head Coach of Belgium, continuing to build his reputation for excellence.
Chris's return to the area, having studied at Shiplake College, makes his arrival at the club all the more meaningful.
We are delighted to welcome him back in a role that feels like a natural fit. Joining the Hawks as Defence Coach, Chris will bring fresh ideas, high standards, and invaluable insight to our coaching team. His influence will undoubtedly strengthen the squad as the season progresses.
We are extremely excited to see the positive impact he will bring to the club.
