Henley Rugby Club will be hosting a free community screening of 'The People’s Emergency Briefing' film on Wednesday 11th November, organised in partnership with Greener Henley and the Berkshire Climate Film Group, and followed by a panel discussion on what it means for us locally.

In November 2025, ten of the UK’s leading scientists / experts briefed more than 1,000 politicians and leaders at Westminster on the climate and nature crisis. The People’s Emergency Briefing is a 50-minute documentary bringing that evidence to everyone, frank about the risks but hopeful about the solutions.

The evening will be facilitated by former England Rugby Sevens captain Ollie Phillips, and we will be joined by climate scientist Professor Christopher Merchant from the University of Reading and Kate Oldridge from Greener Henley, who will explain how we can all get involved to make our town greener, healthier and better prepared for the challenges ahead.
