The Club were delighted to welcome back England's Rugby World Cup winning Head Coach, SIr Clive Woodward to Dry Leas yesterday morning.
Having been Head Coach of the club from 1990-1994, Woodward orchestrated a resurgence in the fortunes of Henley RFC, guiding the team to promotion to the National leagues before leaving to take on a coaching role at London Irish.
He was delighted to see the vast improvements made off the field at Dry Leas, going as far as to say that Henley is a role model for other community clubs to follow.
As part of his visit, Sir Clive spoke to Chairman, Chris Nixon about how grassroots rugby has coped with the Covid-19 pandemic, and how this will impact the future of the community game. This will form part of a feature in his Daily Mail column, so keep your eyes peeled!
