Henley RFC Elite Sponsors Spire Healthcare hosted a seminar for the Hawks Men's Squad on Concussion Management and Recovery last Thursday evening after training.
Dr Krishna Chinthapalli, a Consultant Neurologist for Spire Healthcare, was on hand to provide a valuable insight into the impact that contact sport can have on the brain, whilst identifying concussion symptoms, and educating the squad about how to manage the recovery process.
Luke Allen, Henley Hawks Director of Rugby commented, 'Whilst concussion can be a scary subject, we are very proud of the medical care we offer our players, and that starts by making sure we are educated on the subject as much as possible'.
