In an exhilarating BIL finals match, the combined Henley & Reading Abbey U16 side emerged victorious against Brackley in a thrilling display of rugby prowess. The first half unfolded as a tightly contested battle, with both teams fighting tooth and nail for dominance. It was Faith Kemboi from the Henley team who broke through the deadlock, crossing the try line to open the scoring. However, Brackley swiftly responded with a try of their own, leaving the score tied at 5-5 going into halftime.
As the second half kicked off, Henley found their rhythm and began to showcase their rugby talent in full force. Tries from Ellen Satterley, Jayda Pryce, Elsa Kearsey, and Honey Hajda, accompanied by accurate conversions from Ellen and Honey, propelled Henley into the lead. Despite Brackley's valiant efforts to break through the Henley defence, they struggled to contain the relentless attack from the Henley team.
